Mr. McPherson is experienced in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and foreign patent offices and agencies. While Mr. McPherson has notable experience within the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, Mr. McPherson is also experienced in other technical fields as well. In these fields, Mr. McPherson has worked with small businesses, large businesses and individual entrepreneurs in developing patent portfolios to meet the needs of his clients. Mr. McPherson's background includes serving in the United States Marine Corps·as an infantryman from 1988 to 1992. During his service, Mr. McPherson served as a non-commissioned officer with 2nd Battalion 9th Marines and traveled to Honduras, Philippines and Okinawa, Japan. Subsequent to his travels, Mr. McPherson further served as a troop handler for the School of Infantry and thereafter was honorably discharged.·
Upon leaving the service, Mr. McPherson prepared formal patent drawings for submission to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, while attending engineering school. Mr. McPherson graduated in 2001 from the Wayne State University College of Engineering (Detroit, MI), cum laude, with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering. While attending engineering school, Mr. McPherson became a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society and Golden Key National Honors society.· Mr. McPherson also attended law school at WayneStateUniversity where he concentrated his studies in intellectual property. While attending law school, Mr. McPherson became registered to practice law before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in 2003 and practiced patent law in the Detroit metropolitan area as a patent agent. Upon graduation in 2005, Mr. McPherson became a member of the Michigan Bar and continues practicing law in the Detroit metropolitan area as a patent attorney.
